Recipe - Mini-Frank Fondue

3 cup Oil corn or peanut
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Water
1 One half cup Pancake mix
1 lg Miniature smoked sausages
Or wieners
Pout oil and salt into the fondue pot. Heat for about 15 minutes, or until
a 1" cube of soft bread browns in about 4060 seconds. Mix water and
pancake mix, by hand or with a hand mixer or a blender. Place the pancake
mix batter in a small serving bowl.
Spear smoked sausages; dip into batter, letting excess drip off. Fry in
oil unti golden and crispy.
Serve with a dipping sauce.
Variation: Use shrimp or thawed cauliflowerettes in place of sausage for a
tempuralike appetizer.
