Recipe - Minestra Of Rice And Cabbage

One half Small head cabbage; cut
1 small (3/4inch diameter)
1 qt Boiling water
2 To 3 ounce raw ham; chopped
One half cup Canned tomatoes
One fourth cup Long grain white rice
1 teaspoon Salt
Soy sauce
1 Stalk celery; chopped fine
Saute ham and celery for 5 minutes. Add ham, celery and rice to water; cook
until rice is almost done. Add cabbage, cook until tender. Just before
completion, add tomatoes and salt. Serve with soy sauce.
