Recipe - Michigan Baked Oatmeal

Ingredients:

2 cup Old fashioned oats
4 cup Milk
One half teaspoon Almond flavoring
One fourth cup Brown sugar
One half cup Sliced almonds
One half cup Dried cherries
1 lg Apple; unpeeled and grated

1.Preheat oven to 400o. 2.Coat 3qt. casserole or baking pan with cooking
spray. 3.In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. 4.Transfer to baking
dish. Sprinkle top with additional almonds. 5.Bake uncovered for 45
mintues. Serve hot.

Variation: Omit almonds, almond flavoring and cherries. Add 1 tablespoon
cinnamon, One half cup raisins and One half cup peanuts, chopped.
