Recipe - Matzo Meal Doughnuts

2/3 cup Water
1/3 cup Shortening
1 cup Matzo meal
1 tablespoon Sugar
3 Eggs
One fourth teaspoon Salt
Boil fat, water, sugar and salt. Add the matzo meal, stirring well. Let
mixture boil for a second. Remove from fire and beat well. Add eggs one at
a time beating well after each addition. Take bits of the dough into well
greased hands and roll into balls 2 inches in diameter. Dip finger in water
and make a hole through the center of erach ball. Place on a greased pan
and bake at 375 400 F. for 1 hr. Roll in Confectioners' sugar while hot.
