Recipe - Maple Apple Crisp

4 md Apples, peeled and cut or sliced up
(up to 5)
One half cup Maple syrup
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One half teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon Cornstarch
TOPPING
One half cup Butter or margarine
1 cup Brown sugar
1 One half cup Flour
One half teaspoon Almond flavouring
from the Apple Recipe Series
Mix apple slices with spices and maple syrup, and arrange in greased
8"square pan. Dust with cornstarch. Mix butter, flour, sugar and almond
flavouring until mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs. Spread topping over
apples, bake at 375 degrees Farenheit until topping is nicely browned,
about 2530 minutes. Cool slightly, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve
with ice cream or whipped cream. Makes 68 servings.
