Recipe - Maple-Baked Acorn Squash

6 lg Acorn or other winter
squash
Salt to taste
1/3 cup Butter or margarine
One half cup Maple syrup

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut squash in halves lengthwise and seed.
Sprinkle cut sides with salt and arrange, cut sides down, in a baking dish.
Bake until shells can easily be pierced with a sharp knife, 4560 minutes.
Run fork over sides of squash, then spread with butter and drizzle with
maple syrup. Bake 3 minutes longer. Makes 12 servings.
