Recipe - Mamas Blueberry Torte

TORTE
2 cup Fresh blueberries, washed,
drained
One half Lime, juice of
Three fourths cup Sugar
3 tablespoon Butter
One half cup Milk
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 pn Salt
TOPPING
1 cup Sugar
1 pn Salt
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
OVER ALL
1 cup Boiling water
TORTE Spread blueberries in an oblong pyrex dish. Pour lime OR lemon juice
over the berries. Cream butter and Three fourths cup sugar; add milk and mix well.
Add flour, which has been sifted with baking powder and salt. Gently spread
over berries. TOPPING Mix the 1 cup of sugar, cornstarch and salt. Sprinkle
over the dough. Pour boiling water over all. Bake at 375 degrees F for one
hour. SERVING Serve warm, plain, with ice cream or with whipped cream.
