Recipe - Low Fat Ginger Cookies

Categories: None, Low Fat Ginger Cookies
Ingredients:

1 cup Packed brown sugar
One fourth cup Applesauce
One fourth cup Molasses
1 lg Egg
2 One fourth cup Flour
3 teaspoon Ground ginger
1 One half teaspoon Cinnamon
One fourth teaspoon Ground cloves
1 teaspoon Baking soda
One fourth cup White sugar

Beat together the brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg in a large bowl
until smooth. In another bowl combine the remaining ingredients (except the
white sugar) and stir into the wet mixture. Cover and refigerate at least 2
hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Form the dough into small, walnusized balls,
roll in white sugar and place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. (I
use and ungreased cookie sheet and it works fine) Bake for 1015 minutes.
Remove and cool on a rack.

Makes 3 dozen.
