Recipe - Limeade Gel
Categories: Too, Hot, Tamales, Limeade Gel
Three fourths cup Sugar
2 cup Cold water
2 pack Unflavored gelatin
One half cup Lime juice
2 dr Green food coloring; is
desired
Stir together sugar and 1 cup water in small saucepan. Heat over medium
flame and simmer until the sugar is well dissolved. Sprinkle gelatin over,
stir, let sit 2 minutes, and stir again. Add lime juice and cold water, and
food coloring if using, stir, and pour into 8x8 pan. Refrigerate until
firm,
46 hours, and cut into cubes. These citrus gels need extra gelatin
to compensate for their acidity, which weakens setting.
