Recipe - Lemon Sauce (Lite)

One fourth cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 cup Water
1 tablespoon Margarine
1 teaspoon Lemon peel, finely shredded
3 tablespoon Lemon juice
In a small saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Add water. Cook and stir
over medium heat till mixture is thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2
minutes more. Remove from heat. Stir in margarine, lemon peel, and lemon.
Cover surface with plastic wrap and cool well. Makes about 1 cup.
Light and zesty for a square of warm, spicy gingerbread or witb a slice of
angel food cake.
