Recipe - Jim Bowies Hush Puppies

2 cup Corn meal
1 cup Flour
2 tablespoon Minced onions
1 Egg
2 tablespoon Bacon drippings
ds Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoon Baking powder
Milk
Deep fat for frying

Mix all ingredients with just enough milk to make a thick mixture. Wet
hands & roll mixture into 1 One half inch balls. drop into deep fat & remove
when brown. drain on absorbent paper. You can use salt & pepper to taste in
place of cajun seasoning.
