Recipe - Italian Sausage Strata

Ingredients:

One half pound Italian sausage
One half cup Chopped green pepper
1 md Chopped onion
1 cn Drained tomatoes; (16 oz.)
One half Loaf Italian bread
3 Eggs
2 One half cup Milk
1 teaspoon Salt
Grated Parmesan cheese

Remove casing from sausage. Brown sausage in large skillet for 10 minutes,
breaking it up with wooden spoon. Stir in One half cup chopped green pepper and
chopped onion. Cook another 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and cook 15 minutes.
Slice Italian bread. Place half the slices in bottom of a buttered 8 x 8 x
2inch baking dish. Spread with sausage mixture. Top with remaining bread.
Beat eggs; stir in milk and salt. Pour over bread and sausage; sprinkle
with grated cheese. Bake 1 hour in 325 degrees oven. Serves 4.
