Recipe - Hominy Grits

Ingredients:

5 cup Water
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Hominy grits
2 teaspoon Sugar
3 tablespoon Butter; (up TO 4)
Pepper to taste

Bring water to boil and add salt.

Add grits, One fourth cup at a time, and stir constantly. When all the grits have
been added, reduce heat and simmer covered for approximately 3040 minutes,
stirring grits occasionally to prevent sticking.

When all the water has been absorbed and the grits are done, add the sugar
and butter and stir.

Serve the grits in a bowl, adding freshly ground pepper to taste and
additional salt and butter if desired.

Serves 4
