One half cup Lukewarm water
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 pack Yeast
One fourth cup Sugar
One half cup Shortening
1 tablespoon Vinegar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 One half cup Water
1 Egg beaten
5 cup Flour
Put yeast in the water with the tsp. sugar, Let sit for 10 minutes. Heat
Three fourths cup water, add shortening to melt, add rest of water,sugar, salt, vinegar
and egg. Add yeast mixture and 2 One half cups of the flour, beat until smooth,
add rest of flour. Let rise until double in bulk. Make into buns and rise
again. Bake 20 25 min. in 375 F oven
