Recipe - Holland Gouda Pinwheels

DOUGH
2 cup Allpurpose flour
3 teaspoon Baking powder
2 teaspoon Sugar
One half teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoon Butter; up to 4
2/3 cup Milk
FILLING
10 ounce Gouda cheese; shredded
1 cup Finely minced cooked ham
One fourth cup Finely chopped celery
2 tablespoon Minced onion
3 tablespoon Mayonnaise
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in the butter. Stir in milk with a fork.
Turn dough onto a floured board and knead for 15 to 20 seconds. Roll out
dough into an oblong about One fourth inch thick. Mix together filling ingredients
and spread over the dough. Roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut into Three fourths inch
slices and place 2 One half inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375
F for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 16 to 20
pinwheels. Serve with coffee for breakfast, with soup for lunch or dinner
or on their own as a light snack.
