Recipe - Holiday Gingerbread Cookies

1 One half Sticks butter
One fourth cup Brown sugar
One fourth cup Sugar
2 teaspoon Ginger
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One fourth teaspoon Allspice
1 One half teaspoon Salt
1 Egg
Three fourths cup Molasses
3 One fourth cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Baking powder
Cream together butter, sugars, spices & salt. Add egg & mix
thoroughly. Add molasses & blend. Sift together twice: flour, powder
& soda. Add to molasses mixture & stir until blended. Chill well.
Preheat oven to 375. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough to 1/4"
thick on floured pastry cloth or board. Use a cookie cutter to press
out desired shape. Place on greased baking sheets & bake 810 minutes.
