Three fourths cup Flour
1/8 teaspoon Salt; less than
2 teaspoon Baking powder
1 Three fourths cup Sugar
Three fourths cup Milk
One half cup Butter
3 cup Sliced fresh peaches

This simple cobbler has an appealing, almost puddinglike consistency.
This recipe was featured in the July/August 1989 issue of Domain Magazine
which was published by Texas Monthly. There are a number of recipes on the
WWW pages of Texas Monthly.
Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Mix with 1 One half cups sugar.
Slowly stir in milk. Melt butter in 8by8by2inch pan (a larger pan
makes a thinner crust). Pour batter over butter; do not stir. Lay peaches
on batter. Sprinkle with One fourth cup sugar or less. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Serves 6.
