Recipe - Hawaiian Namasu

4 Young cucumbers, cut or sliced up

2 Carrots, thinly cut or sliced up
2 lg Onions, cut or sliced up
3 Stalks celery, cut or sliced up
1/3 cup Brown sugar
Three fourths cup Vinegar
1 tablespoon Salt
1 teaspoon MSG
1 cup Water
One fourth pound Smoked salmon (lox)
Should be prepared ahead Combine sugar, vinegar, salt, water, MSG, and
bring to a boil. Pour over cut or sliced up vegetables. Cool. Refrigerate overnight.
Serve with thin slices of smoked salmon.
