Recipe - Half Moon Shaped Indian Bread Pudding

1 cup Butter; softened
One half cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Light Brown Sugar; divided
2 Eggs; separated
1 tablespoon Water
2 cup Sifted Flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Soda
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 pack Chocolate Chips; (12 Oz.)
Mix butter, granulated sugar, One half cup brown sugar, beaten egg yolks, water,
flour, vanilla, salt, soda and baking powder. Spread in greased oblong pan
and sprinkle chocolate bit on top of this mixture. Beat egg whies and mix
with 1 cup brown sugar. Spread thinly on top of chocolate bits and cover
completely with waxed paper, having it touch the eggwhite mixture. Bake at
350ø for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.
