Recipe - Green Goddess Salad Dressing

Categories: None, Green Goddess Salad Dressing
Ingredients:

1 cup Mayonaise
One half cup Commercial sour cream
1/3 cup Finely minced parsley
3 tablespoon Finely minced chives or
green onions
3 tablespoon Anchovy paste or finely
minced anchovies
3 tablespoon Tarragon wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 Clove garlic; crushed or
grated
Salt and freshly ground
pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients. Chill; it mellows and thickens on standing. Makes
2 cups dressing.

I found this recipe in an old Betty Crocker cookbook and it says, "Most
popular at a large San Francisco hotel. Especially delicious on salad
greens and sea food. For a milder flavored thicker dressing ,omit vinegar.
