3 md Potatoes; up to 4
peeled and thinly cut or sliced up
2 cup 18% cream; or milk
2 Eggs
2 ounce Emmenthal cheese; up to 3 oz
grated
The accompanying dish to Roast Herbed Lamb from Lisette Dionne, the
motherinlaw of Jean Charest (A conservative leadership candidate who may
be Canada's next prime minister).
Make two layers of potato slices in a greased casserole, sprinkling cheese,
salt, pepper and freshly grated nutmeg on each layer. Whisk cream and eggs
together and pour over potatoes. Bake in preheated 350F oven 1 hour or til
potatoes are tender.
