Recipe - Grandmas Lazy Day Cake

Ingredients:

CAKE
One half cup Butter
1/3 cup Whipping Cream
1 One fourth cup Sugar
3 lg Eggs
2 cup AllPurpose Flour
2 teaspoon Baking Soda
One half teaspoon Salt

FROSTING
1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 cup Chopped Pecans
One half cup Butter; Melted
One fourth cup Whipping Cream; Or Milk

Heat oven to 350F. In 1quart sauce pan combine One half cup butter and 1/3 cup
whipping cream. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter
melts (78 minutes); set aside. In large mixer bowl combine sugar and eggs.
Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (12 minutes). Add
butter mixture, flour, baking powder, and salt. Continue beating, scraping
bowl often, untilwell mixed (12 minutes). Spread batter into greased and
floured 13x9 baking pan. Bake for2530 minutes or until toothpick inserted
in centre comes out clean. Heat broiler. In small bowl stir together all
frosting ingredients until well mixed. Spread over warm cake. Broil 24
inches from heat until bubbly (24 minutes). Serve warm or cool.
