Recipe - Gordo (Mexican Rice)

1 cup Uncooked rice
1 cup Sour cream
One half teaspoon Garlic powder
One half cup Parmesan cheese
1 One half cup Cheddar cheese; grated
One half cup Green onions; chopped
1 cup (8 oz.) green chilies
1 teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Pepper
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cook rice. Blend in sour cream, chilies,
onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Butter casserole (or use Pam).
Layer half rice mixture into casserole and half cheese. Repeat layering
rice, then cheese. Bake covered for 35 minutes and uncovered for 5 minutes.
