Recipe - Gehakteh Leber (Chopped Liver)

2 lg Onions, chopped (or more, to
taste)
3 tablespoon Oil
1 pound Chicken livers
4 Hard cooked eggs
1 teaspoon Salt
One fourth teaspoon Black pepper
1 tablespoon Mayonnaise (up to 2)
In a large skillet, saute the onions in the oil until golden. Broil the
livers. Using the finest blade of a grinder, or steel blade of the food
processor, grind the liver with the onions and eggs. Add the salt and
pepper. Add 1 or 2 tbs mayonnaise and mix well. Taste and adjust the
seasoning. Serve chilled.
