Recipe - Fruity Spice Bars

Ingredients:

One half cup + 1T flour
Three fourths teaspoon Apple pie spice
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One fourth teaspoon Baking powder
Three fourths ounce Instant rolled oats
2 tablespoon + 2 t. margarine
2 Eggs
1 One half ounce Mixed dried fruit, cut or sliced up
One fourth cup Dark raisins
1 teaspoon Confectioners sugar
One fourth cup + 2 t. firm packed brown
sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350F. In a small mixing bowl, sift flour, apple
pie spice, soda and powder together. Add oats, stirring to
combine; set aside.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together brown sugar and margarine
until thoroughly combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
until smooth. Gradually beat in sifted ingredients. Fold in
dried fruit and raisins.

3. Spray an 8 x 8 x 2 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Pour
batter into baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes, or until toothpick
comes out dry.

4. Tranfer to wire rach and let cool. Dust top with confectioners
sugar. Cut into 8 equally sized bars.

Each serving provides: One half Fruit; 1 fat; One fourth protein; One half bread; 30
Cal.
