Recipe - Fruited Tea Biscuits

Ingredients:

One half cup Borden Country Store Butter;
softened
1 One half cup Sour cream
1 cup Sugar
4 cup Unsifted flour
1 tablespoon Baking soda
One fourth teaspoon Salt
1 cup Raisins or currants
One fourth cup Chopped candied cherries;
(optional)
Additional sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In large mixer bowl, cream together butter, sour cream and sugar.

Sift or stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed
mixture.

Stir in raisins and if desired cherries.

Using a heaping tablespoon for each, roll into balls; place on greased
baking sheets and flatten lightly.

Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 2 One half dozen.
