Recipe - Fruit Tzimmes -- Compote

1 pound Prunes
One half pound Dried apricots
One half pound Dried pears or apples
2 cup Water
2 tablespoon Honey
3 tablespoon Brown sugar
One fourth teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Cinnamon
One half pound Sweet potatoes, peeled and
cut or sliced up
In a large mixing bowl, presoak all the fruit overnight. Drain the water.
Pit the prunes. In a medium sized saucepan combine all the ingredients and
bring to a boil. Cook over very low heat for 25 minutes or until the liquid
is absorbed. Stir occasionally. Serves 8 or more.
