Recipe - Fruit Medley

1 One half pound Mixed dried fruits
2 One half cup Water
1 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Honey
Peel of One half lemon cut
Into thin strips
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Cinnamon stick
3 tablespoon Cornstarch
One fourth cup Cointreau
Put dried fruit into slowcooking pot. Pour in water. Stir in sugar,
honey, lemon peel, and spies. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Turn
control to high. Mix cornstarch in small amount of water; stir into fruit
mixture. Cook on high for 10 minutes or until thickened. Add Cointreau.
Serve warm or chilled. May be served as fruit compote or as a topping for
ice cream.
