Recipe - Frosted Applesauce

1 pack (3 oz.) lemon flavor gelatin
1 One half cup Hot applesauce
Three fourths cup Pineapple juice
One fourth cup Sugar
1 tablespoon L;emon juice
1/8 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Egg white; stiffly beaten
One half Crushed pineapple; drained
Dissolve gelatin in hot applesauce. Add pineapple juice, sugar,lemon juice,
salt,and spices. Fold in egg white and pineapple. Spoon into sherbet dishes
and refrigerate until set. Makes 8 servings. Thie recipe came from an older
lady in Portland, Oregon in 1955, hence the vernacular.
