Recipe - Friendship Tea

Categories: Beverages, Friendship Tea
Ingredients:

2 cup Tang orange drink powder
1 One half cup Instant tea granules
1 One fourth cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Lemon Koolaid powder
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
One half teaspoon Ground cloves

Mix ingredients thoroughly. To serve, dissolve 2 to 3 teaspoons in a cup of
boiling water.

NOTES : If you've got a bad 'cold', this is just the ticket. A shot of
brandy or whiskey (for adults!) goes well, too, if you're going to crawl
under the covers for the day. The name 'Friendship Tea' is because you're
supposed to mix up a large batch and store in several small jars; then when
one of your friends is ill, you take them the tea mixture (with a copy of
the recipe) to make them feel better! My grandmother (in her 80's) and a
neighbor (in her 60's) both remember Friendship Tea during the 40's, though
this must be a newer recipe because of the Tang? I thought that was
invented for astronauts in the 60's...then again, it could have been false
advertising.
