Recipe - Fried Shrimp With Pineapple

Ingredients:

1 cup Sifted flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg, beaten
One half cup Beer
Oil for frying
1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Sugar
One fourth cup Vinegar
One half cup Pineapple juice
1 cup Pineapple chunks

1) Sift flour, baking powder, and One half teaspoon salt together in a bowl. Beat in
egg and beer.

2) Heat oil to 375 degrees in deep skillet or deep fryer. Dip shrimp in
batter, coating well. Fry shrimp, a few at a time, until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels and keep warm.

3)In saucepan, combine cornstarch, sugar, One half teaspoon salt, and vinegar. Add
pineapple juice, cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce
thickens.

4) Arrange shrimp on serving platter. Place pineapple chunks around shrimp.
Pour sauce on top; serve at once.
