Recipe - Fresh Apple Cookies

One half cup Butter or margarine
1 One fourth cup Packed brown sugar
2 Eggs
2 One half cup Flour
One half teaspoon Salt
One half teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One half teaspoon Nutmeg
One half teaspoon Allspice
One fourth teaspoon Cloves
One half cup Apple juice
1 cup Grated unpeeled raw apple
Three fourths cup Chopped walnuts
1 cup Raisins

In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs until
smooth. In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Add to the creamed
mixture along with the apple juice. Stir in the apples, nuts and raisins.
Never overmix the ingredients when combining. Butter a large cookie sheet.
Using 2 tsp.; put walnut sized pieces of dough, 1One half inches apart on the
cookie sheet. Bake 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Makes
2 dozen.
