Ingredients:

1 pound Dried dates
Oats

Cook dates in a little water until you get a sticky consistency. Mash
dates so that they are not all big lumps Stir in enough oats to get a
"flapjack consistency" (the consistency is up to you. I prefer it quite
sticky). Put mixture into a well greased tin. Cook for about 2025 mins at
about 180

Sometimes I put in a little margarine and maybe a spoonful of honey. I know
it is not that low cal but its certainly lower than the ones that are full
of syrup and glucose.

I have also used many other fruits, mostly dried, including apricots, pears
and prunes.
