Recipe - Fig Rumaki

Ingredients:

One half cup Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
One fourth teaspoon Ginger
21 Dried California figs
1 cn Water Chestnuts; Sliced, 8
oz. drained and
7 sl Bacon; cut in thirds

Combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and ginger in a one cup
measure. Set aside. Wrap a fig and a slice of water chestnut in each piece
of bacon. Secure with a toothpick Place in a 2 quart oblong pan. Pour
marinade over all. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate several hours, or
overnight Remove rumaki from marinade. Place 3 paper towels on a paper
plate. Arrange One half of the rumaki around the edge of the plate. Cover with a
paper towel. Microwave at high (100%) until bacon is lightly browned, 3 to
3 One half minutes. Repeat with remaining rumaki. Makes 21 appetizers.
