Recipe - Feather Bread

1 cup Lukewarm water
One half teaspoon Sugar
2 pack Yeast
2 cup Warm potatoe water
One half cup Mashed potatoes
1 cup Sugar
2 teaspoon Salt
2/3 cup Shortning or butter
2 cup Flour (up to 3)
5 cup Flour (more) (up to 6)
(can be made into buns, also)
In large bowl add water, One half tsp sugar and yeast. Stir and let set 10
minutes. Add potato water, potatoes, sugar, salt and shortening. Stir, then
add flour. Beat this till smooth with elec. mixer To this add enough flour
to make a medium stiff dough (56 more cups of flour)
Let rise twice, kneading after each rise. Shape into 3 loaves or buns. Let
rise again and bake about 12 minutes at 375. or until nicely browned.
Optional: brush with egg whites and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired
before baking.
hope you enjoy it! My family loves this bread (would like to try it in a
bread machineif anyone doeslet me know how it turns outI think it would
have to be cut down to One half at least)
