Recipe - Favorite Corn Bread

1 cup Allpurpose flour
1 cup Cornmeal
One fourth cup Sugar
4 teaspoon Baking powder
Three fourths teaspoon Salt
1 cup Milk
2 Eggs
One fourth cup Shortening
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add the milk, eggs and shortening; beat for 1 minute. Pour into a greased
9" square baking pan. Bake at 425 F. for 2025 minutes or until bread is
