Recipe - Farmers Bran Bread

2 cup Flour
3 teaspoon Baking powder
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One fourth cup Sugar
Three fourths teaspoon Salt
1 Egg
1 cup Bran
2 tablespoon Melted shortening
2 tablespoon Melted butter
1 cup Sour milk
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt in bowl. Beat egg,
add sour milk and bran; stir to mix. Add melted shortening and stir into
flour mixture. Place on floured board and roll to 1/2inch thickness. Cut
into rectangles 2 x 3 inches. Brush top with melted butter. Form loaf by
placing rectangle on edge in pan and bake in moderate oven. From Favorite
