Recipe - Family Cake With Broiled Topping-Mix

1 Family cake recipe
1/3 cup Brown sugar packed
1 To 2 Tablespoons cocoa
1 tablespoon Milk
One half cup Nuts coarse chop
1 tablespoon Shortening

Bake family cake as recipe directs (recipe in this group of recipes)
Combine remaining ingredients in order shown. After cake has cooled
slightly, spread with cocoa mixture. Place in broiler with surface of cake
about 4 inches from heat source. Broil until frosting bubbles. WATCH
CAREFULLY to avoid scorching. Yield: One 8inch square cake
