Recipe - Esthers Cherry Custard

1 pt Milk
1 pn Salt
2 tablespoon Cornstarch
One half cup Sugar
2 Egg yolks
1 tablespoon Butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cn Sour cherries; drained
1 cup Sugar
2 tablespoon Flour
Water
Add pinch salt to milk and scald. Mix cornstarch One half cup sugar and egg
yolks together and add to scalded milk. Cook. Add butter and vanilla. Drain
cherries; mix 1 cup sugar into the cherries. Combine flour and a little
water together; add to cherries. Pour milk mixture over cherries and let
thicken.
