Recipe - Ella Julias Rhubarb Dessert

1 tablespoon Sugar
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
One half teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoon Shortening
1 Egg; beaten
1 tablespoon Rich milk or cream; (or a
little more if needed)
Mix into a tight dough. Wet spoon and press dough into baking dish. Cover
with 3 cups cut up rhubarb. Now sprinkle over it all with 1 package of pink
gelatin (dry).
Then mix together: 1 cup sugar
One half cup butter
One half cup flour
Mix together and pour over gelatin. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F..
Serve warm or with whipped cream.
