Recipe - Dutch Apple Bread

One half cup Butter or margarine; softene
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Salt
1/3 cup Buttermilk
1 cup Apple; chopped, peeled
1/3 cup Walnuts; chopped
TOPPING
1/3 cup Flour
2 tablespoon Sugar
2 tablespoon Packed brown sugar
One half teaspoon Ground cinnamon
3 tablespoon Butter or margarine
Recipe by: Sue Klapper Preparation Time: 0:55 In a mixing bowl, cream
butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and
salt. Stir into the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Fold in
apple and nuts. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. For topping,
combine the first four ingredients; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle
over batter. Bake at 350 for 55 60 minutes or until bread tests done.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack. Source: Taste of
