2 Envelopes DREAM WHIP Whipped
Topping Mix
2 Three fourths cup Cold milk; divided
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 pack (4serving size) JELLO
Instant Pudding & Pie
Filling; any flavor
1 Baked pastry shell (9 inch);
cooled, or 1 prepared
graham cracker or chocolate
flavor crumb crust (6
ounces)
This heavenly pie lives up to its name. During World War II, one crust
pies became popular because of the scarcity of shortening. Many were filled
with JELL O gelatin or pudding convenient products for women involve in
the war effort.
BEAT whipped topping mix, 1 cup of the milk and vanilla in large bowl with
electric mixer on high speed 6 minutes or until topping thickens and forms
peaks.
ADD remaining 1 3/4, cups milk and pudding mixes; beat on low speed until
blended. Beat on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Spoon
into pastry shell.
REFRIGERATE at least 4 hours. Makes 8 servings.
