Recipe - Dijon-Sesame Salad Dressing
Categories: None, Dijon-Sesame Salad Dressing
3 tablespoon Liquid honey
1 One half tablespoon White vinegar
4 teaspoon Lite mayonnaise; (I use
Hellmans)
2 teaspoon Dijon prepared mustard;, (or
other 'fancy' mustard
variety)
One half teaspoon Toasted sesame oil; (not
optional) (up to 1)
The first salad dressing below was part of a previous post, but I have
found it to be wonderful with salads containing cabbage. It also seems to
compliment many flavors, so it has gone well with all sorts of meals from
chicken to fish to curry. It has much less fat than conventional salad
dressings.
Stir together until well blended. Start with One half t sesame oil, and add more
until you are happy with the flavor. The sesame oil makes all the
difference, although some people may find the dressing very nice without
it. Sesame oil is found in the oriental section of the grocery store. it
comes in a small bottle and is used in very small quantities.
