1 cup Sugar
1 cup Butter
3 Eggs
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One half teaspoon Gound cloves
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Three fourths teaspoon Baking soda
2 One half cup Flour
8 ounce Chopped dates
1 cup Pecan pieces

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine ingredients in indicated order.
Drop onto a cookie sheet by the tablespoon. (I use nonstick cookie sheets,
so a spray of PAM may be a good idea for the other kind.) bake 810 minutes
