Recipe - Date Meringue Pie

1 cup Vanilla wafer crumbs
1 teaspoon Baking powder
One fourth teaspoon Salt
3 Egg whites; stiffly beaten
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Chopped dates
One half cup Chopped pecans
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Cream; whipped
Combine crumbs, baking powder and salt. Fold sugar into egg whites. Fold
crumb mixture, dates, nuts and vanilla into whites. Pour into greased
9inch pie pan. Bake at 350 for 2530 minutes. Serve with generous dollops
of whipped cream.
