Recipe - Date Halwa - Karjura Halwa

1 cup Seedless dates; cut into
fine pieces
One half cup Milk
Three fourths cup Sugar
Three fourths cup Ghee
One half cup Cashewnuts; cut into fine
pieces & fried
25 g Pistachio nuts; chopped
Mix together milk, sugar and dates. Keep this mixture to boil. When
boiling, add ghee. Then add One fourth cup of cashewnuts. Cook on slow fire till
the mixture is almost dry and the halwa is formed. Remove from fire, spread
it on a dish and add the rememing One fourth cup of cashewnuts. Garnish with the
chopped pistachio nuts.
