Recipe - Date-Nut Sauce

1 pack (7One fourth 8 oz) pitted dates,
chopped
1/8 teaspoon Salt
Three fourths cup Water
One half cup Light or dark corn syrup
One half cup Chopped Walnuts

in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat, heat dates. salt and water to
boiling. remove from heat. Stir in corn syrup and chopped walnuts. Serve
warm over apple, pear or pumpkin pie or ice cream.
