Recipe - Cutout Christmas Cookies

Categories: None, Cutout Christmas Cookies
Ingredients:

2 cup Sugar
One half cup Butter
One half cup Crisco; (solid vegetable
shortening)
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 cup Buttermilk
6 cup Flour; (approx.)

These are the Greatest Cutout cookies. I received the recipe from a lady
friend of mine, who received it from her grandmother. Now it originally
called for 'lard' instead of Crisco, for those of you that don't mind it.
But the other One half cup has to be butter. I use the frosting recipe from the
powdered sugar box and just use food coloring as needed.

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add 2 eggs, mix well. Add remaining
ingredients, mix well.

Roll out dough, use cookie cutters.

Bake at 325350 degrees, about 8 to 10 minutes, but start checking at 6
minutes.

Cool and decorate with icing.
