Recipe - Curly Maples Applesauce Muffins

1 One half cup Sugar
One half cup Butter or margerine,
softened
2 Eggs
2 cup Allpurpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
One half teaspoon Baking soda
One half teaspoon Ground cloves
One fourth teaspoon Salt
1 cup Applesauce
How I got it: This recipe was in the Taste of Home Magazine, issue
April/May 95. Page 51. I gave it a try, and fell in love with them.
In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating
well after each addition. Combine all the dry ingredients; add to the
creamed mixture alternately with applesauce. Mix just until combined. Fill
greased or paperlined muffin cups twothirds full. Bake at 350 for 2025
minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: about 1One half dozen.
