Recipe - Crystals Apple Noodle Kugel

12 ounce Egg noodles
5 Apples; peeled and cut into
bitesize chunks
1 One half cup Raisins
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
One half teaspoon Nutmeg
6 tablespoon Orange juice
1 cup Sugar
One fourth cup Margarine; melted
6 Eggs; slightly beaten
One half cup Walnuts
1 One half cup Brown sugar
This recipe is dedicated to my niece Crystal Biller of Charleston, SC; who
helped me create this recipe for a recent family reunion. The crowd,
entirely nonJewish, went wild over their first taste of "noodle pie."
Boil noodles until soft about 10 minutes. Drain to get rid of as much
water as possible. Combine remaining ingredients EXCEPT for brown sugar.
Blend well.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes./P
Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle brown sugar over top; trying to avoid
clumps. Put pan back into oven for another 10 minutes. Sugar should be
wellmelted; noodles crispy.
